Questions
Because we are new and you are taking a chance on us. The $500 rate is a founding-client price for our first 10 clients, in exchange for a testimonial and a written case study. It is $749 after that. We would rather tell you that plainly than pretend it is our forever price.
Usually not. Any spare machine that stays on will do — an old laptop, a Mac Mini, a desktop you already own. If you would rather not run hardware, a VPS is $5–$20 a month and we will set that up instead.
For personal use at 50–100 messages a day, $10–$50 a month. We configure hard spend caps at the provider during setup, so it cannot surprise you. That bill goes to you directly — we take no margin on it.
Honestly, no — if you are comfortable reading advisories and applying patches yourself, do that, and we will show you how during handoff. The retainer exists because most people will not, and unpatched agent software with access to your inbox is a genuinely bad thing to leave sitting there.
Yes. Everything except the on-site work is done over screen share, and most of our setup work is remote already. Bay Area clients can have us physically present for business deployments.
We audit existing installs at the hourly rate. Most audits take two to three hours and end with a written findings list you can act on yourself if you prefer.
Gladly — that is what the workshops are for, and it is the cheapest thing we sell. Plenty of people leave a workshop and never need us again. That is a fine outcome.
